Chris Brown is supposed to be living life and celebrating his birthday today, but instead he’s in the middle of some drama once again. The 25-year-old entertainer is now a suspect in a battery case stemming from an incident that occurred in the wee of hours of Monday Morning.
According to the Las Vegas Metro Police Department’s press release, Chris was playing basketball around three in the morning at the Palms Casino Resort when he got into it with another baller. They say the two players got into a verbal altercation which later led to a physical fight that resulted in Chris allegedly punching the unidentified man. When the man tried to defend himself by delivering a counter punch, he was allegedly struck again, this time by a member of Chris’ entourage.
The man took himself to the hospital and was treated with non-threatening injuries before being discharged. And when cops got to the hotel to question Chris, he was “not available to speak.”
Currently, Chris Brown’s publicist is denying that he was involved in any wrongdoing:
Via his rep:
Chris is currently in Las Vegas. He has a suite at the hotel that has a basketball court and invited friends to come play.
“An unruly individual showed up uninvited and was removed from the premises.”
“Chris was not in an altercation with this person.”
The police are currently hoping to sit Chris down for questioning, and they are giving him two options: either sign a citation for misdemeanor battery, or test his luck and have the case submitted to the district attorney’s office for prosecution.
Either way, if it’s not straightened out, it may be a terrible look for Chris, who just finished probation AND is now responsible for someone other than himself. Sheesh!
